About Jessie Henry

Jessie Henry Jessie Henry is a mixed media artist from State College, Pennsylvania.

After a very tough year, she realized that something had to change in her life. In her darkest times she was able to find inspiration in art.

In her photography, she looked around at the world, noticed the smallest snowflakes and the vastness of the moon and felt less alone. In time, it helped her remember that there is magic and wonder all around us, even if we sometimes aren’t tuned in to see it.

In her painting practice, she is able to express her emotions without the limitation of words.
After painting many of these works, she finally looked up from the brush and realized that she had the series that has been titled ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads'.

These paintings represent the places where we are and the places that we have yet to get to. They represent the unknown and the serenity of the world that surrounds us on our journey to get there. The remind us of the curiosity about what is just around the corner.
